RadioMeow Photo Submission Tool For Windows XP

Note: this tool only works for public images! Remember you must be on the main Flickr photo page for the picutre and not a group or a set page for the bookmarklet to work!

Instructions for Internet Explorer that are running Windows XP Home & Pro:
 

• Hold the “Ctrl” key down and click the letter “D” (Ctrl-D).  You will see a new bookmark in your Favorites list titled “RadioMeow Photo Submission Tool for XP”.
   
• Right-click the mouse directly on the new bookmark. You will get a pop-up menu.
   
• Click on the menu option that says “Properties”.
   
• The first edit box is titled “URL”. The contents of that box should already be highlighted for overwriting.  If not, delete the current contents of the edit box.
   
• Hold the “Ctrl” key down and click the letter “V” (Ctrl-V)
   
• You should now see a line that starts with “javascript:”. You will have to scroll the contents of the edit box left to see it
   
• Click the Ok button.
   
• if you get a dialog box saying ‘The protocol “javascript”does not have a registered program.  Do you want to keep this target anyway?’  Click Yes.
   
• Testing the bookmarklet.  Click on the bookmark labeled “RadioMeow Photo Submission Tool for XP” now.
   
• If it works, you will get a popup box with an error message, because you are not at a Flickr photo page.  If our popup did not appear, look for an icon at the bottom of your browser like the one shown in the graphic directly below, and keep reading.
   
• Popup Blocker:  If our popup is blocked, you will see an icon on the bottom of your browser that looks like this:
  
  
  
  
• Click on the icon that looks like a tiny browser window with a red “not allowed” circle on it.  This will bring up a popup menu. (Ironic isn’t it?)
   
• Click on the option that says “Always Allow Pop-ups from This Site”.
   
• You will get a message box saying “Would you like to allow popups from ‘www.radiomeow.com’?”. Click Yes.
   
• Click again on the bookmark labeled “RadioMeow Photo Submission Tool for XP”. It should work now and you should get the error message mentioned above. If not, Visit the RadioMeow Group on Flickr.
   

Important!: If you use a toolbar that blocks popups, or another popup blocker, make sure you allow our popup to come through!  For example, both the Yahoo! and Google toolbars block popups.

Note: Windows XP users who continue to have problems with their popup blocker should consult view Microsoft’s Window XP popup blocker page. Try adding both www.radiomeow.com and www.flickr.com to the list of “Address of Web site To Allow” list.
